It is well known that the restaurant industry is ultra-competitive, and even popular restaurants can see a decline in productivity. If your restaurant has stagnated recently, we have a handful of ideas on how you can take your restaurant to another level this year.

1. Beef-Up Your Online Reviews

Online reviews have become increasingly important for restaurants. With so many consumers checking review scores and feedback before ordering from a place, online reviews can be a difference-maker. A strong amount of 5-Star Google reviews can also move your restaurant up the search rankings. If you are dissatisfied with how your restaurant has performed recently, try getting more reviews. It is also important to engage with the online reviews your restaurant receives. Whether it is a positive or negative review, engaging with a customer’s review will show users you care about what customers have to say and that you have an active online presence.

2. Make Adjustments From Feedback

Getting feedback from customers and employees is great, but it will not mean much if adjustments are not made from the feedback presented. For example, if customers say the restaurant is not as clean as it should be, start focusing on presenting a cleaner restaurant.

3. Host Events

Hosting events can bring in more revenue for your restaurant and also increase awareness for your restaurant in the community. Hosting events at your restaurants can also fill in the gap during times when your restaurant is not busy. Events such as company gatherings, engagement parties and fantasy football drafts can provide a good boost to your restaurant.

4. Revamp Your Menu

Revamping your restaurant menu is another way your restaurant can reach another level this year. A revamped menu can add new items and enhance the layout and descriptions. A revamped menu can possibly entice customers to spend more money at your restaurant.

5. Offer Restaurant Catering

If your restaurant currently does not offer catering, it could be missing a huge opportunity. Restaurant catering is a major source of revenue for some restaurants and can attract new customers.
